Quick answer
Four Support slots, plus three paired slots on each weapon set
Support stones occupy four character-wide slots. Your melee weapon and sidearm each contribute one Combat, one Infusion, and one Ability slot, producing six more. That makes 10 active slots. GamingBolt Reddit UI discussion
The slot map
| Type | Slots | Attached to | Main job |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support | 4 | Shell / character passives | General damage, defense, Resolve, economy |
| Combat | 2 | 1 melee weapon + 1 sidearm | Changes attacks or combat interactions |
| Infusion | 2 | 1 melee weapon + 1 sidearm | Adds a status or elemental infusion |
| Ability | 2 | 1 melee weapon + 1 sidearm | Active actions that commonly spend Resolve |
What players commonly get wrong
- Ten is an equip cap, not a collection cap. Extra stones remain available for swapping and leveling.
- Weapon Tarstone is not a fifth type. It describes where a Combat, Infusion, or Ability stone is attached.
- Compatibility still applies. A correct category does not guarantee a stone fits every melee weapon or sidearm.
- Equipped stones share kill progression. Fill unused compatible slots with unfinished stones while farming XP.
How to fill the slots
Start with four useful Support effects, then choose one melee and one sidearm plan. Do not fill an Ability or Infusion slot merely because it is empty if the effect drains Resolve needed elsewhere.
Check weapon compatibility before farming a stone for a specific loadout.
