Combat Tarstone guide

Wounding Stone Location and Missing Chest Fix

Wounding Stone adds Perforation to melee attacks and is found in a chest south of Mushroom Village.

Check behind the wooden building beneath the bridge

Travel south from Mushroom Village toward the bridge. Go behind the wooden building beneath the bridge and open the chest there to collect Wounding Stone.

What Wounding Stone does

Wounding Stone is a Combat Tarstone for melee attacks. Its defining effect applies Perforation, making it useful for builds that want repeated melee pressure and a status effect in the Combat slot.

Wounding Stone route from Mushroom Village

  1. 01
Start at Mushroom Village and take the route south.
  2. 02
Continue toward the bridge and look below it for the wooden building.
  3. 03
Move behind the building and open the chest.
  4. 04
Check the Combat Tarstone inventory for Wounding Stone.

What to do if the chest is already open

  • Check the Combat category: Wounding Stone may be easier to miss when browsing another Tarstone type.
  • Reload the area: Rest, fast travel away, return, and check both the chest and inventory again.
  • Restart the game: A full restart is worth trying if the pickup or inventory did not update.
  • Do not rely on character or time changes: Night Mode and Tiel are not required steps in the standard pickup route, and changing them does not guarantee that an already-open chest will reset.
  • Recheck in New Game Plus: If the item never entered the inventory, revisit the location when the world state resets.

Should you upgrade Wounding Stone?

Level it when Perforation is part of the melee build you plan to keep. Because Level 3 consumes a limited Tarcore pool, test the stone at lower levels before making it one of your permanent max-level choices.

Plan your Tarcore spending before the final Temper.
