Start at Sunken Village Beacon and follow the Magdalena route

Step-by-step route

  1. 01
    Travel to the Sunken Village Beacon in the Glutted Mire.
  2. 02
    Cross the bridge into the sheep pen.
  3. 03
    Clear the Tarblighted Shepherd encounter.
  4. 04
    Break or pass through the wooden-board opening and cross the following bridge.
  5. 05
    Find Ruk and open the nearby bone chest before entering Magdalena's arena.

What to do after finding them

Return to Franz at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep and hand over the Etching Needles. Interact with the machine again and choose Temper Tarstones. The item unlocks the service; it does not automatically upgrade a full-XP stone.

If the chest or menu seems missing

  • Wrong route: this is the Magdalena approach, not another Tarforge component dungeon.
  • Stopped at Franz: use the Tarforge after handing over the item.
  • Wrong service: melee and sidearm enhancements use different components.
  • XP bar not ready: unlocking Tempering does not remove XP and Coin requirements.
